Sonna Mini Hydel Scheme

Sonna Mini Hydel Scheme is located on the Sonna barrage across Bhima River near Sonna Village, Afzalpur Taluk of Gulbaraga district, Karnataka. The project is build owned and operated by Jasper Energy Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Greenko Energies Pvt. Ltd. Sonna has Horizontal "S" type Full Kaplan with rated output of 3500 kW and has a PPA with HESCL (state DISCOM). The project is registered under UNFCCC's Clean Development Mechanism.
