Rayala Wind Power Pvt Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary of Greenko Group operates a capacity of 179.2 MW Wind farm with more in pipeline, covering six villages of Anantapur District.
The combined power generated throughout this farm is transmitted over a distance of approximately 35.0 km through a 220 kV transmission line from the pooling substation of the company to the closest AP TRANSCO's sub-station. Commissioned in 2013, The project was built in a phase-wise manner.
Apart from the wind farms, RWPCPL has conducted valuable CSR activities around the site. A study was conducted to understand the basic issues faced at the village level which exhibited the critical scarcity of drinking water. To tackle this problem, RO water treatment plants have been set up with features customised to water requirements in these villages. The company also provides quality health care to these rural communities in the form of regular health care camps and check ups.
